Manufacturer Baykar's latest unmanned combat aerial vehicle showcased enhanced capabilities for aircraft carrier deployment.

The testing process of Bayraktar TB3, Türkiye’s new unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) capable of being deployed on aircraft carriers, continues at full speed, with manufacturer Baykar recently announcing the drone has completed its fifth flight and flew with the landing gear retracted for the first time.

Türkiye’s new unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), tailored for the country’s newly commissioned aircraft carrier, on Friday successfully took to the sky for its inaugural flight, its developer announced.

On Friday, Turkey’s leading drone maker announced that the naval variant of the famous Bayraktar TB2 has achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing its takeoff and landing tests.

Selçuk Bayraktar, the chief technology officer (CTO) and chairperson of the board of the Turkish drone magnate Baykar, announced that the company would make a $10 million donation for critically-needed humanitarian assistance to Gaza.

Malian President Assimi Goita awarded Turkish drone magnate Baykar’s general manager, Haluk Bayraktar and Board Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar along with other two members of their team the country’s “National Order” for their contributions and services to Mali.

"Baykar is forging ahead like an icebreaker, creating a path" for more Turkish business with the Kingdom, CEO Haluk Bayraktar told Breaking Defense.
